I join NUS Netball MC because… Passion for the sport! I LOVE NETBALL! Woots!

My ideal partner is… someone who is confident, able to carry himself well, humorous, sweet and thoughtful, ROMANTIC, homely… and only has eyes for me, me, me! Oh no, I think I’ll be a spinster for life!

The nastiest thing I’ve done so far was… cursed someone to fall and really had him fall right in front of me! Needless to say, I’ve never dared to curse anyone ever since. But I’ll still show funny faces behind their backs! :)

When I was a child, I was … angelic! :)

My fave food and place recommendations: Economic bee-hoon? There’s always a loooooong queue at EVERY (and ANY) stall that sells it! I know there’s a good one in Bedok. I think it’s at the interchange but I’m not so sure where.

Another one is Kampong Glam (in Baghdad Street). It sells really good Malay food! It’s painted green (as compared to the other pale whites) so it’s quite visible from the rest of the shops along that stretch. What’s more, you get to tell people that you went to Iraq for lunch! =P

I join NUS Netball MC because… I want to be more involved in netball. So, what is a better way than being in the committee?

My ideal partner is… someone who really understands me.

The nastiest thing I’ve done so far was … when I was a child, I denied any wrongs I did and pushed the blame to my brothers. They would then be scolded instead. (I do feel guilty for being so nasty)

When I was a child, I was… an ultimate crybaby.

My fave food and place recommendations: Holland Village is a good place to find good food. But recently I was introduced to this really interesting restaurant “Disney Natural” at Anchor Point. It serves dishes named after Disney characters, and even plays Disney movies in the restaurant. Even the pizzas are shaped like Mickey Mouse. To top it off, the food is not bad.

I join NUS Netball MC because… Netball has been a sport that I am very passionate about since my secondary school days.

However, I stopped playing the sport after I left my secondary school. For the subsequent 3 years, I did not have the chance to play the sport. I was so excited to come to know NUS Netball Club and have since attend trainings regularly.

The 5th MC persuaded me to join The 6th. My passion is in Netball, and so I decided to give it a go. Little did I expect that I was being elected to be the Treasurer. Given this once in a lifetime opportunity, I told myself that I will perform to the best of my ability to serve the club, fellow members and most importantly to bring Netballuxion 08 a greater success than the previous. I am sure that is the goal for The 6th too.

My ideal partner is… someone who is a gentleman, responsible and would allow me to have a sense of security being with him. Most importantly, he has to be someone that I feel comfortable and happy being with.

The most disgusting thing I’ve done so far was … to wade in a pool of muddy water and to apply mud over my face and body. It was something I did during a camp that I went to when I was in Primary 5 and I am very sure that I did it very unwillingly. It was a great experience though.

When I was a child, I was… very quiet and shy, as most of my primary school teachers would describe (at least that is what they say about me in my report book every year!). But I guess I have grown to be more outspoken now.

My fave food and place recommendations: My all time favourite makan place would be Alexandra Village Hawker Centre; it is situated near my house and go there quite often during the weekends to have dinner and spend quality time with my family. The hor fun, BBQ stingray and avocado drink there are to die for!!!!

I join NUS Netball MC because… well, frankly speaking, I have never thought of running for election as a management committee member for netball club initially. Being in my freshmen year, I just wanted to take up a CCA of my own interest and hence to be able to meet and interact with more people. However what seemed to change my mind and well, perhaps the drive to run for election would got to be Netballuxion’o7. It was really a great experience as well as exposure for me when I helped out at the event last August. The success of Netballuxion’07 definitely did not happen miraculously without the painstaking efforts put in by The 5th. As part of The 6th now, I hope that Netballuxion’08 will be even more successful and that NUS Netball Club is able to create higher awareness and greater participation within or outside NUS.

My ideal partner is… in the beholder’s eyes as a person to spend an eternity with. In my opinion he does not have to be very good-looking, but more importantly someone who’s charismatic, understanding, thoughtful and really nice! :)

The nastiest thing I’ve done so far was … I added chilli sauce, pepper, salt and mayonnaise into a friend’s drink. He spat everything out after a sip.

When I was a child, I was… a very curious kid; I asked a lot of questions according to my parents. But anyway, my mom told me that I was relatively a very well-behaved child back then, and I choose to believe what she said entirely. Haha!

My fave food and place recommendations: Aglio Olio at China Square Central. They serve the Singapore’s version of Pasta and you’ll get a choice of  different levels of spiciness; with 5 chillies being extra spicy and 1 chilli being not spicy (they uses chilli padi instead of the usual chilli flakes). The first time I went there, I had mine with 4 chillies (very spicy) and I ended up gulping down one big jug of ice water.

I join NUS Netball MC because… I wanna do leadership stuff in a totally new environment.

My ideal partner is… someone who knows me more than I know myself.

The most disgusting thing I’ve done so far was … I choked cars’ exhaust pipes with tennis balls and oranges. There are many down the long long list. I was truly a brat before I came to Singapore.

When I was a child, I was… a spoilt brat, to the core. I cried for anything that did not go according to my wish.

My fave food and place recommendations: No fave food in particular. I don’t like those organs stuff (e.g. pig organs porridge; yuck). I can be spotted in town very often, Orchard area particularly. Also, I like to hang out with my clique at some less-known-chic-chic-places for noon tea/desserts or dinner.

I join NUS Netball MC because… I have always wanted to do something different from what I had already experienced in JC and secondary school life. I was never sporty or rather, never in a sport CCA before. When I first joined the trainings weekly, I began to enjoy it and the company was great! So I decided to gain a new experience by joining The 6th and I am glad I did so as I am really having fun! Well, they say, “Life’s simple, you make choices and you don’t look back.” I never had to. :)

My ideal partner is… someone cliché; one who understands me and can relate to me emotionally. One important thing must be that guy should ‘like’ my loudness. Other than that, a sociable and outgoing guy will be perfect!

The most disgusting thing I’ve done so far was … I used to run away from home a lot alone, wandering out there. I got almost lost many times and of course made people look for me all over the place.

When I was a child, I was… one word – Crybaby. I was crying almost 95% of the time for no rhyme or reason. I was fussy as a child as I was comfortable travelling in taxis only and I really needed to be coaxed to sleep. My parents must have suffered a lot trying to take care of me but at least now I am the total opposite – very quiet at home.

My fave food and place recommendations: ‘AZABU SABO’,  a Japanese restaurant at Marina Square. OMG, its heavenly desserts there. My favourite is the mango ice-cream! Simply mouth watering and yummylicious! I can drool whenever I think about it. The sweet mango slices on the white creamy vanilla ice-cream with mango sauce flowing all over the ice-cream. I am sure you cannot resist it yourself. It is one of my most wanted food stuff at this moment in time.
